Animal Abuse Speech

Did you know that in 2019 there were approximately 14,000 cases of animal abuse in New Zealand. My speech is about the abuse of animals. It is important that people know it happens because people who abuse animals can go on to deliberately hurt humans. In my talk I am going to tell you about animal testing,

Many products that are imported for sale here in New Zealand use animals to test their products. Rabbits, rats, guinea pigs and mice are often used in cosmetics. In the draize test, rabbits are trapped in full-body restraints, unable to move. Chemicals are then dropped into their eyes, or spread on their shaved skin.

There are approximately 70 million pet dogs and 74.1 million pet cats in the United States of America.  Did you know 20 men and women are assaulted per minute (an average of around 10 million a year). In one survey, 71 percent of domestic violence victims reported that their abuser also targeted pets. Research also shows people who are often violent to others

start by hurting animals.  All the world's bad serial killers started by killing animals first.

In conclusion, animal testing is not good for animals and people who hurt animals can become violent towards people.
